Klubhaus St. Pauli: Next-Level Digital Signage with Intermedia Prism

Welcome to the legendary Reeperbahn. Since 2015, the multi-award-winning Klubhaus St. Pauli has been a standout landmark here. We had the privilege of shaping and enhancing it visually and technologically throughout all phases of its planning and construction.

On a 1,000 m² building façade, we created an iconic 3D LED media installation, transforming layered light and image elements into a landmark of digital architecture. Every night, the Klubhaus comes alive with dynamic, creative visuals. However, this ambitious project came with its challenges:

• Pixel-perfect content display: How do we ensure precise visuals without losing details on a fragmented LED surface?

• Seamless integration of interactive content and live streams: How do we enable smooth, calendar based scheduling?

• Intuitive real-time control: How can operators easily manage and adjust live content with minimal effort?

At the time, media server technology was limited to timeline based playback, lacking automated scheduling for long term content planning and distribution.

However, we thought ahead, embraced the creative freedom we were given and developed a cutting-edge solution that makes complex media technology intuitive and interactive in real time.

Our Solution: A Tailored Digital Signage System – Seamlessly combining advanced media technology, aesthetic design, and effortless operation.

• Pixel-perfect production and playback: Ensuring content is displayed accurately without cropping or distortion
